The argument
Throughout history, music, theatre, and comedy have been used to challenge or expose political and social issues felt by the masses, often when direct opposition was dangerous. Satire allows dissent to be heard through wit, ridicule, song, and dance — a tool that has outlived most of the regimes it has skewered.
