Letters to the editor

What parents are saying.

Stories from the first cohort, in their own words. Fuller letters as graduates emerge.

An honest note

The first cohort is mid-course. So is this page.

Cohort I is twelve weeks in. Rather than hold this page back until graduation, we are publishing what families are telling us now — mid-stream, unfinished, unvarnished. The most useful read on a curriculum is what parents say while they are inside it.

Full letters from graduates will appear here as they emerge from the course. We will not edit them for marketing polish. If a family writes something complicated or critical, that goes up too.

Early voices

Three families, three cities, twelve weeks in.

Lifted from email correspondence with the editors. Lightly trimmed for length. Names abbreviated at the family’s request.

Bangkok

We watched the first three modules together — me, my husband, and our fourteen-year-old. We argued about every single one. That was the point.

— Anya K., parent of one

Lisbon

My son started asking questions at school that his teachers couldn’t answer. They aren’t bad teachers. They just aren’t allowed to teach this.

— Tomás R., parent of two

Auckland

By the end of three months he could converse on six subjects I’d never heard him mention. The fee paid for itself in a single dinner.

— Hannah M., parent of three

From the air

Until parent letters arrive: the contributors are already on record.

The course is co-hosted by Dennis O’Connor, who runs Awakening in Healthon Rumble — a long-running interview programme covering geopolitics, finance, health and history. Most of our faculty have appeared as guests. If you want a feel for how they think before you enrol, the archive is open.

A note to the cohort

Already a Greenlight family? We’d love to hear from you. Send your story to hello@greenlightinstitute.com.

Read the syllabus. Then read the room.

The next cohort begins in March. The first letters from this one will be here by autumn.
