The argument
Western societies — their beliefs, cultures, and thought processes — have largely been shaped by the great philosophers and thinkers from ancient Greece more than 2,500 years ago. Names like Plato, Aristotle, and Socrates are still regarded as the fathers of modern Western thought. Few today understand the competing theories of those great minds, and how those same debates continue to this day.
