The argument

Inside this module.

Climate change has dominated the news for over twenty years. The alarmist reporting from governments and media has left many confused and many more traumatised. Yet the facts and data don't always support the headline narrative. Many now believe a more sinister plan to deindustrialise the Western world sits behind it, as laid out in Agenda 2030. We will present the evidence and let you decide.

Questions we’ll explore

The questions a thoughtful student asks — and the questions this module insists they ask.

  1. i.

Where does the data end and the narrative begin?

  2. ii.

Who funds climate science — and who does that funding answer to?

  3. iii.

What is Agenda 2030, and why is it spoken about in two completely different registers?

  4. iv.

Is the proposed cure — deindustrialisation — worse than the diagnosis?

  5. v.

What would honest climate policy look like if neither side was selling something?
